DFI owns and operates the only piling pipe mill in Western Canada. It was intentionally designed to rapidly respond to customers’ changing project supply needs, such as design adjustments, add-on situations, and compressed timelines.
Our company continually maintains industry-leading inventory levels of standard-length pipe, as well as hot-rolled coil. We efficiently and effectively supply large orders that are cut to exact, customer-specified lengths and our team can even supply entire orders with no mid-welds and provide custom stenciling of the pipe.
Through established relationships with steel makers in North America and overseas, DFI consistently provides large quantities of piling material at competitive prices, offering a strong alternative to any overseas options.
We enable customers to maximize their dollar and save time by ordering only the pile lengths they need. With DFI, they can avoid the additional expenses that cutting and welding bring in order to develop custom lengths.
Our 53-acre storage yard carries an average inventory of 20,000 tons of steel, including a large supply of standard pile lengths. We are also able to source and manufacture helical piles, large diameter piles, H-piles, sheet piles, and pile caps.
Highest Industry Standards
Every piece of piling material manufactured in the DFI pipe mill undergoes a stringent quality control process built to meet the ASTM A252 Grade 3 pipe standard. From chemical composition to strength, we take quality seriously.
We have 25 years of experience in the piling industry as a supplier and installer, which provides us with expertise for all stages of a project. We understand our customers’ needs and leverage this awareness to deliver quality products within demanding turnaround times.
Made to Order
Customers only pay for the materials they need. This saves on costs for product, trucking, extra cutting, capping, as well as possible add-ons and splicing. Making project-specific piles also eliminates standby time and excess materials—saving the end user money.
If requirements change midway through a job, DFI has the ability to adjust remaining material to the new diameters or lengths customers need. We understand that subsurface soil reports are only a guide for embedded pile length designs.
