From a piling perspective, DFI operates like an Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) company. DFI understands the challenges of designing a pile that meets a customer’s load requirements with market conditions (i.e., steel availability) and constructability in mind. DFI’s in-house engineering team ensures that we are aligned with the priorities and goals of the EPCM firms we work with.
We know that having the proper documentation including inspection test plans (ITPs) with minimal requests for information (RFIs) prepared in a timely manner, is essential to your job. Once your drawings are issued, we get to work right away and complete the project on time and on budget.
Our state-of-the art pipe mill and large inventory of material located in Edmonton, Alberta allows us to provide made-to-order piles based to your engineering specs, saving your client on trucking and extra cutting and capping costs. The proximity of the pipe mill to job sites in North America also means we can turnaround custom orders much faster than suppliers from overseas.
Our custom-built, proprietary pile installation equipment is top-of-the line and maintained by in-house mechanics with mobile service units. By building our own equipment and having well-trained, experienced staff, we are able to fix most equipment problems that might occur right on site. This minimizes work stoppage and maintains quality control on site. While in the field, our engineering team can also conduct field testing and pile dynamic analysis to protect against unforeseen ground conditions and guarantee project integrity from start to finish.
Our streamlined processes are designed to provide competitive and consistent pricing and deliver high-quality work. Our goal is to make sure your project runs as smoothly as possible and is completed on time and on budget.
