DFI provides, or pays for, transportation and lodging expenses (room and tax only) for crews and supervisors working in the field. When you are required to travel from home for an overnight stay in a hotel or sleeper, you are eligible for subsistence (i.e., meal allowance).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Allowance*
DFI supplies employees with the basic PPE, such as coveralls, ear plugs, and safety glasses and shares costs of many other personalized articles with the employee.
